Milestones Philosophy
There is no one right way to do things and we, Milestones, are here to facilitate, guide, support, and inform our clients and community members through moments in life where a little extra emotional, physical or spiritual support is needed and desired. While we are rooted in a holistic perspective, we come to clients with an open mind and from a place of non-judgment and loving support for any and all choices and perspectives.
Our co-founders Gina Forbes and Tiffany Lee Avery are birth professionals- Certified Doulas and Childbirth Educators. That experience serves as the roots of Milestones. Our philosophy, though informed by our work as birth professionals, is not limited to birth. While we strive to meet the needs of new and expecting parents, we also "doula" people as they journey through many kinds of life transitions. We meet people where they are and walk with them through a moment in time, through a life event, on their journey toward wholeness, health, and joy in life.
Through our work with childbirth education, new parents, and the many others who walk through our doors, we aim to facilitate a process of exploration of individual values and development of skills and strategies so that clients may make their own unique choices and find their own way to health and wellness. We also aim to create and nurture genuine community connections with the belief that healthy communities are vital to our own well-being. We all need each other in order to thrive.
